Autoglass marketer leaves to manage Nokia operation
Windscreen replacement specialist Autoglass has lost both its marketing heads, following the appointment of its consumer marketing manager Alison Brolls as marketing manager at mobile phone company Nokia.
Her departure from Autoglass on May 1 will follow the loss of marketing manager (professional) Paul Eyton-Jones last week to a motor industry management consultancy.
An Autoglass spokesman says the two were “snapped up because they’re good”.
Direct replacements are being sought to handle the company’s push for volume, following two years of brand building and a £2m investment in call-handling centres last year. A sales promotion company is being sought and poster and radio advertising campaigns have been booked.
Brolls is to replace former Nokia marketing manager Alex Mott who has moved to Malaysia to work with the parent firm.
Nokia managing director Isto Pankakoski declined to comment on Brolls’ appointment.
Both companies use Grey London for their advertising. Nokia has a £4m annual spend, while Autoglass spends £3.3m.
