Funnel vision
There’s an adage in Fleet Street about what makes for a page lead or front page splash – “If it bleeds, it leads”. Thankfully, reports of injury or gruesome death are scarce in marketing. Instead, there’s another truism of what engages – something that is fundamental but flawed is followed. Not quite as pithy, granted.
