P&O events arm shakes up top jobs
P&O Exhibition Services (POEX) has restructured its senior management team to lead four new divisions within the group.
The aim of the reorganisation, according to POEX, is to improve the customer and operational focus of the exhibition and event industry and provide a framework for expansion into new business areas, nationally and internationally.
Phil Scott becomes managing director of P&O Exhibition Contracts, reporting to POEX group md David Berrie; Chris Havelock-Davies becomes managing director of P&O Productions; David Wilson is appointed managing director of P&O Giltspur Showprops, and Sarah Biggs is made project manager of POEX International.
Scott will be responsible for all POEX’s electrical, rigging, technical and stand-fitting, including the new services in modular stand-fitting and custom-built design.
P&O Production under Havelock-Davies will offer a new turnkey production management service for museums, conferences, corporate meetings, special events and product launches.
Ray Eyres and Peter Prior have joined this division to spearhead the move into the museum sector and have just completed their first project at the Museum of the Moving Image.
P&O Giltspur Showprops is adding a new service in freight-forwarding for exhibition and event organisers as well as international exhibitors. Declan Gane, previously with Schenkers, has joined P&O Giltspur Showprops to develop this sector.
